Aaron Kendrick De Niro is the son of legendary Academy Award-winner Robert De Niro and actress Toukie Smith, and he was born years after his parents' relationship ended.

Children of Hollywood stars often become celebrities by association, and many enjoy the role, but not Aaron Kendrick De Niro. One of iconic actor Robert De Niro's six children, Aaron, keeps out of the limelight as much as possible.

Aaron's mother is Toukie Smith, an African American actress and restauranteur who had a long relationship with the man many consider one of the greatest actors of all time.

Aaron Kendrick De Niro Was Born via Surrogate in a Unique Family Setup

Aaron and his identical twin brother Julian Henry were born on October 20, 1995, to Toukie and Robert, and their lives were unconventional right from the start. Their parents' romance had ended four years before, but they decided to have children together.

Despite living separate lives -- Robert remarried two years after the twin's birth -- the former couple was loving and involved co-parents to their two boys. At the time of their birth, Toukie was 43 and Robert 52, and their spokesperson said that the boys were conceived through IVF and carried to term by a surrogate.

Aaron Kendrick De Niro's Dad Encouraged Him & His Siblings to Take Risks in Their Life Choices

While his brother Julian has chosen to follow their father into showbusiness and appeared in the series "The First Lady" as a young Barak Obama, Aaron has decided to keep a low profile. He is credited with working on the 2020 animation feature, "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run."

Robert has always encouraged all his children to follow their hearts, take creative risks, and do whatever will make them happy. Nevertheless, the actor did reveal that he was worried about raising Aaron and his five bi-racial siblings in a complex social environment.

Aaron Kendrick De Niro Guards His Privacy but Appeared in Public as a Child

Although his siblings occasionally appear at events or on social media, Aaron has a talent for ducking cameras and has little to no social media presence. The most secretive of all the De Niros' life is a complete mystery.

It is unknown if he attended college, where he works, and what he does, apart from his credits in animation. He did show up on occasion in photos with his siblings and his stepmother, Grace Hightower, but since he grew up, he practically became invisible.

The most recent appearance by the elusive Aaron was in a 2018 Instagram post celebrating his mother, Toiukie's birthday. Aaron is in a black and white jacket, wearing a baseball cap that obscures his face.

Aaron's determination and ability to fly under the radar are incredible, especially since his dad is one of the world's most famous people. Robert likes to keep his children close, and revealed:

“I like my kids to be all around. I don't like them to be off here and there unless they really have a reason or a job that pulls them there.”

We surmise that Aaron, like his siblings Elliot, Drena, Raphael, and Helen, also lives in New York City, close to his father and mother.
