'The Honeymooners' Star Joyce Randolph Dies in Her Sleep - Her Son Speaks Out

Beloved actress Joyce Randolph passed away over the weekend while in hospice care. The actress lived a long life and is famously remembered for her role in "The Honeymooners."

On January 13, 2024, Joyce Randolph peacefully died in her sleep in her New York City residence. Her son, Randy Charles, reportedly confirmed the news, revealing that his mother, 99 years old, could no longer walk.

Randolph's old age had caught up with and was made comfortable in hospice care. According to Charles, his mother will be cremated.

Known for her role as Trixie Norton in the 1955 series "The Honeymooners," Randolph showed many television watchers her beauty and talent for acting in nearly 40 episodes of the show. Her character was the wife of Ed Norton (Art Carney) and a neighbor of Ralph Kramden. Interestingly, she was chosen for the role and called "that serious actress" without the creator even knowing her name.

The show was a comical success, so much so that it had a reboot and projects involving the show's characters. Randolph even resumed her role as Trixie on "The Jackie Gleason Show." However, among all the original cast members, TMZ, who broke the news of her death, also reported that Randolph had been the last living one left.

Besides "The Honeymooners," Randolph also appeared in "Martin Kane, Private Eye," "The Famous Jury Trials," "The Cavalcade of Stars," and "The Plainclothesman."
