As we can see, not much is left of the Christmas rally and a New Year’s Eve rally seems far away. Nevertheless, there are still plenty of opportunities to make money. This article with 5 tips to make money with crypto between Christmas and New Year without investing will help you on your way.

Is an end-of-year rally for Bitcoin really out of the question?

Although it currently looks like the crypto market is in negative territory, a lot can change. Indeed, this Friday at 10 am Dutch time, options for Bitcoin and other crypto currencies will expire. The expiration of weekly and monthly options is always interesting, but at the end of December, the annual options will also expire. Given the open interest, there is still a good result to be achieved for investors. It is not excluded that large parties will try to get the market moving in order to maximize returns or limit losses around the expiration date of the options. Of course, we will look at this development later in the week. For those who want to take a closer look at the options market, Huobi is the place to go. Our colleagues at are happy to introduce this party.

Elon Musk deflates over crypto in high-profile podcast

When Elon Musk is a guest on a podcast there is usually plenty to talk about. This was no different when he joined Lex Fridman yesterday. Elon Musk was very candid and told us who he thinks is behind the pseudonym of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto.

He also shone his light on the possibilities of crypto currencies on Mars. For those who want to watch the podcast first, the podcast follows. Spoiler alert: after the podcast, we’ll give a short summary of what Elon Musk said about both topics. As promised, here is the podcast first.

Of course, we’ll discuss the podcast after.

Who is Satoshi Nakamoto according to Elon Musk?

Of course, he’s holding back a few beats, but according to Elon Musk, it’s clear that crypto-expert Nick Szabo is behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. He sees a lot of similarities in technologies used by Szabo and the technology behind Bitcoin and its predecessor “bit gold”. Now, Nick Szabo’s suggestion is not very strange. For years his name has been popping up as the man behind Satoshi, like in 2018 when Fortune Magazine even made the news. However, Nick Szabo himself continues to deny.

Will Dogecoin become the crypto currency on Mars?

As many know, Musk with SpaceX is busy trying to get people on Mars. In fact, he expects that if the Earth becomes overpopulated, people will emigrate to Mars. When that happens, of course, payment systems will also be needed on Mars. It was expected that he had the Dogecoin (DOGE) or perhaps even the Bitcoin in mind for this. However, this is not the case. Due to the speed of light, the exchange rate on Earth does not appear to synchronise with the rate that would apply on Mars. This would compress the blockchain. Of course, the crypto-minded Musk does expect that there will be a crypto currency on Mars, but that this will be a new currency.

In short, there is plenty of news to be expected for both topics that we are obviously following.
