2022 will be a great year for the Nintendo Switch: here’s what’s planned

2022 actually started off very well for the Nintendo Switch. At the beginning of the year, we were able to get right into Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Thanks to the latest Nintendo Direct, we know what’s coming up in the near future. And on top of that, the announcement of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

The latest Pokémon game was announced for the Nintendo Switch this weekend. And with that, it has become even more clear that 2022 is really a good year for the game console.

The beginning of 2022 already a small celebration for the Nintendo Switch

So, as mentioned, things have already started off well for the Nintendo Switch. With Pokémon Legends: Arceus we had our first topper right off the bat. And this week we get the second great game in the form of Triangle Strategy. The strategy game is scheduled for March 4. In addition, this month we will also get Kirby and the Forgotten World. This joyful platform adventure is scheduled for release on March 25. In April, we’re scheduled to get started with Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. It’s scheduled for April 8. And maybe the timing of the game with the current war is not so convenient. I wouldn’t be surprised if that game comes later.

One game that did receive a date is Nintendo Switch Sports. The successor to Wii Sports is due out on April 29. After that, we’ll have a little break until Mario Strikers: Battle League which comes out on June 10 and is followed by Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes on June 24. Featuring Splatoon 3 we then have the last major game scheduled for the summer.

Exciting fall

But it is the fall in particular that makes the Nintendo Switch so interesting. From Xenoblade Chronicles 3 we know that it should be released in September. But the other games don’t have a date yet. Think of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Bayonetta 3, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. We’ll also be getting a load of circuits for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe this year, and there’s a good chance we’ll be getting some other announcements in addition to these games. As far as that goes, you’d be wise to get your hands on the game console.
