Corsair HS65 Surround Headset is a jack of all trades

I’m always a proponent of a headset while gaming. That way the sound comes in more directly and any roommates won’t be bothered by your banging. And at the same time you have the opportunity to talk to your gaming friends. With the Corsair HS65 you have a headset that is at home in many markets.

The big advantage of the Corsair HS65 is that it uses a 3.5mm cable. Yes, a wireless headset certainly has its advantages, but is often only usable for a single platform. A headset like this does not suffer from that. It is possible to use it for any gaming computer and PC. But that’s not the only reason to be excited about this headset. Read our review now

Corsair HS65 Surround Headset Review

Can be used for multiple platforms

Yes, the main reason to get the Corsair HS65 Surround Headset is because it can be used for multiple gaming consoles. One time you plug it into the PlayStation 5 via the controller, while the next it plugs into the Nintendo Switch. If you then feel like watching a series on an (old) iPad, then you can connect the headset to that without any problems. Especially when you have multiple devices in the house, this product kills several birds with one stone.

Dolby 7.1 on your PC

If one of your devices is a PC, then the Corsair HS65 Surround Headset has an added advantage. Because for the PC and Mac, the headset also has a USB adapter. This gives you the opportunity to use Dolby 7.1 via the software that comes with the headset. This gives you the advantage that in a game like Call of Duty you can better hear where enemies are coming from. An enemy who comes around a corner, you hear that way and you open fire easier. That person will probably think you’re campt, but it’s more a case of a tactical advantage.

Sits comfortably

An additional benefit of the Corsair HS65 Surround Headset is that it sits comfortably on your head. The earbuds are not the largest on the market, but go well over your ears. The headband is fairly soft and thus does not irritate during gaming. An additional advantage is that noise coming from outside is blocked reasonably well. In this way you can really dive into the game. I did find that the headset after a while causes warm ears. I would not hesitate to use it for more than three hours. Most controllers will run out of power after that, so whether you can make it is very questionable.

Price-performance is thick

Finally, the Corsair HS65 Surround Headset has one last advantage. And that can be found in the price. With a price of about ninety euros, it is quite affordable. Especially if you have several gaming consoles in the house, this is a product where you are ready with one shot. For the price you get a product that can be used in multiple ways and during that use offers a lot of quality.
