Fans of The Sims can rub their hands together. Because it’s 25 years since the game first came out, developer EA is coming with a present.
In The Sims, the player can make characters do exactly what you want. You set up a house for them and control how their lives turn out. By letting your characters earn money, they can make their lives more and more enjoyable and expand.
Electronic Arts, the creator of The Sims, is reintroducing The Sims 1 and 2 for the computer due to the simulation game’s 25th anniversary. The games can be purchased separately and downloaded through various channels. The games can also be purchased as a bundle. The games come with a variety of extras.
Discount if you buy both The Sims games
The reissues of the games are officially called The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection, according to the game’s site. The games cost 19.99 and 29.99, respectively. For 39.99, you can pick up both games at the same time, thus giving you a discount of about 10 euros on both games.
You can purchase the games through the EA app, the Epic Games Store and Steam. So that allows you to choose which gaming platform you like. On the site referenced above, you can see what requirements your computer must meet to run the games. You can also see which expansions come with the games.
Not known if games are coming to other platforms
The latest game in the simulation series is The Sims 4, which was released in 2014 and is now free to play. You do have to pay for expansions to the game, but basically, The Sims is therefore free to play. Work is currently underway on a new game in the series, which will also be playable without paying.
It is not known if the re-releases of the first two parts of the series will also become playable on other platforms in the future, such as on your smartphone. EA has not said anything about that. So for now you will have to make do with the PC versions of the games.
