Gran Turismo 7 is a delightful game and if you own a PlayStation 4 or a PlayStation 5, I heartily recommend that you go wild with the racing game.

Still, not all is gold that shines in Gran Turismo 7. For example, there are some comments about the prices of cars in the game and how much real money you would have to use to buy certain cars. And then it doesn’t help that a new patch affects the purchasing power of gamers.

Gran Turismo 7 loses purchasing power

Purchasing power is something we’ve been hearing more often lately. As everything gets more expensive and income doesn’t grow that way, so you have fewer opportunities to buy things. Well, that’s what’s happening in Gran Turismo 7. The new patch has lowered the income. In various races, you now get less revenue when you win a race. And because of this, the already expensive cars are just a little further away from you. So that means you now have to run more races to buy a particular car. On VGC they have made a list with the different races that now have less income.

In doing so, the first two races in this review feature precisely more credits. That really feels like a problem that has been solved. But the rest of the races are thus less income in Gran Turismo 7. The left hand side is the old amount, the right hand side is the new amount.

More racing

So in this way, you have to spend more time in Gran Turismo 7 to unlock a certain car. Fortunately, the racing is very good, but it’s a shame that the developer implemented these points. It feels a bit like a thief of your own wallet.
