After being on PlayStation Plus for less than six months, GTA 5 is about to disappear. And this is when it happens.
GTA 5 has been one of the most popular video games in the world for years. And now finally, after more than 10 years of waiting, a sequel is coming. So the hype for GTA 6 is huge in the community, no one wants to wait any longer.
To prepare yourself for the arrival of GTA 6, you might want to replay GTA 5 for a while, to still add to that hype. If this is your plan, then there is bad news. GTA 5 is going to leave the Extra subscription after a short stay on PlayStation Plus.
GTA 5 is leaving PlayStation Plus
You will soon not be able to play the story of Trevor, Michael and Franklin through your PlayStation Plus Extra subscription. The game has been spotted on the ‘Last Chance to Play’ page, this obviously means that the game will soon leave PS Plus. This will happen on June 18.
Still, the timing is quite strange, as GTA has more hype than ever due to GTA 6’s recent trailer. Many more people want to play GTA 5 because they have to do something anyway, since they have to wait a total of ten years for its successor.
Also, GTA 5 has not been on PlayStation Plus for long at all. The game was added to the subscription on December 19, 2023, and the game will be removed again on June 18. This means GTA 5 has been on PlayStation Plus for less than six months.
