How long it takes to fully play Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy is praised by an awful lot of players for its mighty world, exciting storylines and delightful gameplay. But how many hours can you actually put into the game that will cost you, well, quite a bit of money?

Personally, I think Hogwarts Legacy will disappoint few players in this area. After all, the game is pretty big. In addition to an impressively long main story, you also have to put quite a few hours into the game to complete it in its entirety.

Hours of grinding in Hogwarts Legacy

The main story of Hogwarts Legacy, like Harry Potter himself, is excellently crafted. Although in the game, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Although that tip is anything but small.

To finish the main story of Hogwarts Legacy will take you as a gamer about 20 to 25 hours. Of course, that does depend a bit on how big your focus in the main story is and how high the difficulty level is set.

If you want to finish the game in its entirety, you will spend a few more hours, by the way. The many collectibles and side missions ensure that you as a Harry Potter fan can enjoy Hogwarts Legacy for about fifty hours. Party!

All the main missions in a row

So Hogwarts Legacy has a large main story divided into 13 different missions. Make no mistake, by the way, because each main mission consists of a number of smaller other missions.

The format is as follows:

1. Prologue
2. Attend Your First Day at Hogwarts
3. Find the Secret in the Restricted Section
4. Living as a Student Until Professor Fig Returns
5. Tell Professor Fig about the Map Chamber
6. Complete Your First Trial
7. Improve you Magical Abilities to Access the Next Trial
8. Prepare for You Search for the Next Keeper
9. Prepare For Your Search for the Final Keeper
10. Stop Ranrok and Rookwood
11. Prepare for Your O.W.L.S.
12. Stop Ranrok
13. Post-Story Quests

Have you finished the story? Then keep in mind that Hogwarts Legacy does not carry a New Game Plus option. So replaying the game with the progress you made is not in the cards.

What is good to know is that if you really want to finish the game 100 percent, including trophies, you have to play it four times. This is because each house carries a separate mission with it, so the game can only be completed if you complete it once per house.
