Overwatch 2 on the PlayStation 5 practically unplayable due to problems

Many gamers are complaining about the PlayStation 5 version of Overwatch 2. The game suffers from so many problems that it is almost unplayable at the moment.

Last Tuesday, the eighth season of Overwatch 2 was released, and it went anything but smoothly. Especially gamers with a PlayStation 5 are experiencing problems with the game. Frame drops made the game practically unplayable.

Both on Reddit and on the forum of Blizzard, the game’s developer, complaints are raining down. This is understandable, as the frame drops do not only affect gameplay.

Overwatch 2 on PlayStation 5 nearly unplayable

“I’m playing on a PlayStation 5 with a 120 Hz monitor and settings intended for it. But whether I’m fighting, running, returning or in the menu, the frame rate drops to an incredibly low level,” one player revealed.

This is one of the many stories we have encountered since the eighth season of Overwatch 2 has been available. There are even gamers who claim that sometimes the game even drops below 20 fps, which is logically extremely low.

It is notable, however, that the problem occurs only on the PlayStation 5. Whether only that group of gamers is making themselves heard is doubtful, however, but it seems extremely strong to us.

Blizzard has a list of issues it is currently investigating, and this particular problem is on it. However, it remains to be seen when something will be done about it.

From the images below, however, you can see that something needs to be done:
