Almost all gamers are looking forward to a big game due out in 2025: GTA 6. Developer Rockstar is now bringing good news.
The Grand Theft Auto series can rightfully be called the most popular game franchise today. Although GTA 6 is not even out yet, the trailer is already breaking record after record.
Everyone is therefore eagerly awaiting the fall of 2025. All signs are green for the release of the game during that period.
Rockstar arrives with good news about GTA 6
Rockstar Games falls under Take-Two Interactive, which recently held an investor meeting about the second quarter. In it they also looked ahead to games yet to be released, including GTA 6.
During this meeting, the redeeming word was given about GTA 6: the developer confirms that the game is still scheduled for fall 2025. This is good news, as many big games have been delayed lately. A well-known example of this is Assassin’s Creed, which was pushed further back by Ubisoft.
In the same presentation, news was also shared about the previous installment, GTA 5. It turns out that a total of 205 million copies of this game were sold. In addition, it is the game that achieved the fastest $1 billion in retail sales.
This is what we now know about GTA 6
Little is officially known about GTA 6 yet. Other than the trailer, developer Rockstar has not yet released any details. What is clear, however, is that the game is set in Vice City and the surrounding region. This environment is based on Miami and Florida.
Unlike GTA Vice City, which came out on consoles like the PlayStation 2, you will now be able to explore the surrounding area around the city, just as was possible in GTA 5. So expect beaches and a real vacation feeling.
GTA 6’s trailer also reveals that there are two main characters: Lucia and her partner. They seem to be out for some big loot. However, even the partner’s name has not yet been revealed by Rockstar.
