Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will finally be released in roughly two months. After just over three years, we’re going to find out what Cal Kestis, BD-1 and the rest of the Mantis crew have been up to. Will this once again be the Star Wars game we’ve been hoping for? At any rate, WANT editor Dunke muses on its predecessors.
From what I’ve seen of Jedi: Survivor so far, the game seems a lot larger in scale than its predecessor. In addition to having more fighting styles for Cal (the protagonist) and companions with whom to run through the worlds, there is, of course, a completely new story for Star Wars fans to enjoy.
Since we still have to wait a while for the new game, we have compiled a list of games you can play in the meantime. Besides the first part (Jedi: Fallen Order) of course. Check them out below.
#1: Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (2017)
With Battlefront 2, EA had quite a bit of buzz. But after years of updates, the game is arguably the best multiplayer Star Wars game ever. It lets you run around in worlds from all eras of the franchise and lets you choose from a wide range of iconic characters. From Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader to Yoda and Kylo Ren. And yes, even BB-8 is playable.
In addition, there is also a short campaign of about 4 hours in the game. You play as Iden Versio, a member of The Empire’s Special Forces, who is present when the second Death Star is blown up. What follows is an intriguing story from which Star Wars fans can gain a lot of new knowledge. And you’ll be right in the mood for Jedi: Survivor.

#2: God of War: Ragnarök
Drawing a comparison between Fallen Order and God of War (2018) is not even all that strange. If Jedi: Survivor follows up its predecessor as well as Ragnarök did, we’re in for a treat.
God of War: Ragnarök tells an epic tale of the end of time, but manages to feel very personal in the meantime. Throw that in a blender with brutal combat and breath taking boss-fights, and you have a great way to kill time while we wait for Jedi: Survivor.
#3: Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
No one expected that this rather niche and obscure group in Marvel Comics would ever become so popular. So in addition to the wildly popular movies, a game was also developed. Although it did not sell as well as was hoped, let me just say that the game is absolutely worth playing.
In Guardians of the Galaxy, you play as Star-Lord along with a team of Guardians that will probably look familiar to you if you have seen the movies. It’s up to you to lead this rabble to together, you guessed it, save the universe. The atmosphere of this game is quite Star Wars-like. Perfect for getting ready for Jedi: Survivor.
#4: Hogwarts Legacy
The new Star Wars game immerses us in a universe far away from here, but what if you want to explore a slightly different world? Hogwarts Legacy more than fulfills that dream for many Harry Potter fans.
In the game, you can explore the legendary school for wizards and witches in great detail and actually live as if you were a student yourself. In addition to taking classes, there is also a story in which you experience a major historical event. You’ll be a while with Hogwarts Legacy before Jedi: Survivor comes out, but don’t forget our guide for a quick start on Hogwarts as well.
#5: Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Did you find treasure hunting in Jedi: Fallen Order totally fan-tas-tastic? Then you’re going to get a lot of enjoyment out of this Uncharted spin-off. You don’t play as Nathan Drake, but his old girlfriend: Chloe Frazer.
What doesn’t change is the quest for gold. As you climb and scramble around, you’ll search for ancient relics and solve puzzles still descended from long-forgotten societies. The sense of adventure and exploration that The Lost Legacy gives you will most likely return in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
