When the coolest Star Wars game in years will get a sequel

We had to wait a while for it, but the best Star Wars game in years is getting a sequel. We already knew that, of course, but when exactly we could expect it was still uncertain. Until now, it seems.

The sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be released next year not only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but also for PC. And let the latter be the very reason why we know the game’s likely release date.

Best Star Wars game in years

It has now been three years since the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The title, which you could play on both PC and consoles, managed to positively surprise many a fan of the franchise. Me personally too, because what a lot of hours I spent on the title.

Not very strange, then, that many gamers cannot wait for the Star Wars sequel to be released. In May of this year, developer Electronic Arts announced, during Star Wars Celebration, that the project was half finished. Last Monday, the company announced that the game will make its debut at the 2022 Game Awards.

Though that’s certainly not the only news that has fans of the franchise excited.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on Xbox Game Pass

Fancy playing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but not paying the full whack? Good news: the title is available to members of Xbox Game Pass or EA Play and PlayStation Plus.

When can we expect it?

Shortly after EA’s announcement, a screenshot with even more information also appeared online. Indeed, on Twitter, user Wario64 shared an image from Steam, showing the release date of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

It’s not officially confirmed yet, but if the image is correct, we can go all out from March 2023. The expected release date: March 15, 2023. Considering this is a screenshot from Steam, it is of course questionable whether the consoles share the same date.

On that note, by the way, there is some bad news for those without a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S. Unlike the previous installment, this title will only appear on the new consoles. So your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will not be eligible.
