The bizarre The Legend of Zelda series youve never heard

Your Nintendo Switch is far from the end of its lifespan

While it doesn’t seem to be long before the Nintendo Switch 2, its predecessor doesn’t seem to have its work cut out for the next few years.

Many gaming enthusiasts are looking forward with anticipation to the Nintendo Switch 2. The improved hardware should make games such as Mario and Zelda look even more impressive.

But until then, we’ll have to make do with the current version. And even after the launch of the new version, people who don’t want to upgrade seem to be fine for the next few years.

The Nintendo Switch is still wildly popular

The Nintendo Switch may be a bit outdated, especially compared to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but that doesn’t mean you just put it aside. In fact, the console remains incredibly popular, and its recently released games are still real gems. The latest Zelda game is a prime example of this, scoring incredibly well, and there are many more new games coming out this year.

A total of more than 140 million copies of the Nintendo Switch have been sold, and the consoles are still going smoothly over the counter. In fact, Nintendo recently released new discount bundles again.

So there are an awful lot of people with a Nintendo Switch, and developers would be crazy to stop making games for it. One of the companies that will continue to do so anyway is Outright Games. They even expect to continue developing games for the platform for the next six years.

Why you can expect new Nintendo Switch games until 2030.

“I would be really surprised if we stopped supporting the Nintendo Switch in 2028. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if we were still working on Switch games for the next six years,” Chris Rose, production director at Outright Games, told Videogamer.

Rose also sees good reasons for this. Younger siblings often get the old console, while the older sibling purchases a Nintendo Switch 2. In addition, according to Rose, the used market is also still thriving.

So you really don’t have to worry that your Switch will soon be useless to you. Still, we can imagine you’d rather have Nintendo’s latest console. You can read why that is the case via the article below!
