Apple Music is relaunching its monthly collaboration with DJs with One Mix, which features live recordings via Boiler Room. The popular streaming service presents those recordings in spatial audio. So if you have a relatively recently released audio product from Apple, you can enjoy it.
One Mix returns with techno pioneer DJ Jeff Mills at the controls, performing an hour of his work. Apple Music curator Boiler Room then focuses on bringing you other exclusive content. So you get to hear fifteen new recordings from different DJs. And so, all of that in the spatial audio playback.
One Mix returns to Apple Music
Previously, One Mix could be heard on Apple Music. After 288 mixes, the service thought it had had enough at the time, so the set came to an end. But now we get to hear a monthly mix from a single artist with the service. The first new mix is called Outer to Inner Atmosphere: The Escape Velocity Mix.

By the way, the recordings you hear via Boiler Room were recorded live at various gigs. The fifteen songs were captured during performances in nightclubs and at festivals and raves. In addition, they were mixed for the first time in spatial audio, which should therefore provide a unique experience for listeners.
More sessions to come
Apple announces that more songs will be added to Boiler Room’s compiled list in the coming period. What we can expect in the future remains to be seen. In addition, it is not yet clear how long Apple intends to continue with the mixes of various DJs.
Late last year, news broke that Apple Music is better at recognizing artists who drop long mixes on the streaming service. As a result, they may be compensated for their work. That may be why there is a renewed focus on this type of music.
