It just can’t stop for Apple TV+. The Cupertino-based company’s streaming service manages to add another award to its record.
We can now say that Apple TV+ has definitely established itself as a streaming service. It has already collected a number of Emmys with Ted Lasso and recently won an Oscar in the best film category with CODA. It doesn’t stop at those awards, as it now also wins a BAFTA for the first time.
Apple TV+ in the awards again
The BAFTAs are Britain’s highest film awards, and they have a lot of prestige internationally as well. By now you’re probably thinking that Ted Lasso has won yet another award, but that’s not the case now. Apple TV+ now manages to score with two documentaries, which immediately shows the versatility of the service.
First up, Apple TV+ gets a BAFTA for 9/11: Inside the President’s War Room. The documentary walked away with the title for best editing. 1971: The Year Music Changed Everything gets the award for best music in a documentary.

9/11 Inside the President’s War Room tells the story of the events of September 11, 2001 from the eyes of the president and his ministers. The Apple TV+ documentary shows the first 12 hours after the attacks and details the government’s dilemmas.
The title 1971: The Year Music Changed Everything actually tells it all. It is a tumultuous period in the music industry being reborn, so to speak. Influences such as political and cultural upheaval of the time also reach the music. Stars reached new heights and new talent sought to push the boundaries of the stage like never before. The documentary on Apple TV+ aims to show all this.
In total, Apple TV+ has now established a solid track record in terms of awards and nominations. All together, it has now been nominated for an award 961 times and 243 times it actually managed to win.
