The HomePod seems to be on its way to the Netherlands. This is made clear through the fourth developer beta version of iOS 15.4.
In that beta version, Dutch voice recognition pops up. Remarkable, because as many of you know, the smart speaker is not currently available in our country.
HomePod finally coming to the Netherlands?
Apple is testing the ability for Siri to distinguish Dutch voices. This is a functionality linked to the HomePod: a smart speaker that is not available in the Netherlands. So the voice recognition pops up in the fourth beta version of iOS 15.4, iCulture announced today on their website.
The discovery is accompanied by the rumor of the first Apple Event of 2022. This would reportedly take place on March 8, 2022. Should iOS 15.4 actually roll out support for Dutch voice recognition, chances are that the arrival of the HomePod Mini will be discussed during that event.
The Dutch voice recognition pops up after a Dutch version of Siri already appeared in iOS 15.2. So this is the second update that refers to the arrival of the HomePod (mini) in our country.
All about iOS 15.4
Thanks to the fourth beta version of iOS 15.4, we know a little more about the upcoming operating system. Earlier we made this article with all the features, but we were able to update it extensively this morning. In addition to the existing additions, such as a load of new Emoji and Face ID with mouth caps, new things are now expected.
For example, the fourth beta version features a new voice for Siri. This one has been given the name Quinn by Apple. In addition, the American company is making the use of the Apple AirTag more secure for users in iOS 15.4.
