#2 Adobe Fresco

This fairly new drawing app from Adobe is made specifically for the iPad and the Apple Pencil. As such, it is perfect for anyone who likes to draw. You use a lot of tools you might know from Photoshop, such as Live Brushes, as well as the handy selection tools and masking tools. Certain features are, again, behind a Creative Cloud subscription.

Adobe Fresco is available for free.

#3 Freeform

Apple’s new Freeform app is intended as a collaboration tool, but also works great for quick drawings. The app also works seamlessly with iCloud. This gives you easy access to your sketches on other devices, such as your iPhone and Mac. While there are multiple brush styles and color options, the personalization options are a bit more limited than other drawing apps on this list.

Freeform is available for free (as of iPadOS 16.2).
