It looks like Apple is going to present at least two new Mac models at WWDC 2022, which takes place this summer. Reportedly, these will be two models that will get the M2 chip. So possibly we won’t have to wait long to see what the M2 processor has in store for us.
We have been hearing for some time that Apple is about to present Macs with the M2 processor. At the time, the M1 processor brought a big performance boost to Apple’s computers; nevertheless, it is now time for a change. And so that change may come during WWDC 2022, which kicks off Monday, June 6.
Macs during WWDC 2022?
The information comes from the Twitter profile LeaksApplePro. The person behind that account reports that the person heard that “the M2 MacBook Air and M2 Mac mini will be present during WWDC.” Where exactly that person is getting his information from is unclear. That makes the claim difficult to verify.

WWDC is usually centered around software updates, tweaks and improvements. But it is also common for Apple to present new hardware during the developer conference. Should Apple have little software news, it is not surprising that the M2 processor will be in the spotlight.

Rumor mongers are just people too. People sometimes make mistakes or sometimes deliberately decide to spread false information. So it could be that LeaksApplePro is right, but it doesn’t have to be. The account did not always prove accurate, but it did give us a first look at the AirPods 3 at the time.
So far, the rumor-monger has other rumors against him. Indeed, analysts believe that the new Macs with the M2 processor on board will not be produced until July. So then Apple will have nothing to show during WWDC 2022. In about a month and a half we will know for sure; then Apple will give its annual presentation during the conference for developers.
