2025 seems to be the year the iPhone SE 4 comes out. Or is it now the iPhone 16E that we will see this year?
It seems almost certain that Apple will come out with a new iPhone SE this year. There are many rumors about the model, and even the name may be different: the iPhone 16E.
But at this point, what do we already know about Apple’s new budget smartphone? Is it going to look different, and what exactly can you expect?
This will be the new iPhone SE
Quite a bit of information about the new iPhone SE has already been leaked. As a result, we pretty much know for sure that the smartphone will likely be released sometime in the spring or mid-2025. However, it always remains to be seen what exactly is true about it, as Apple is keeping its jaws tightly shut.
First up are rumors about the appearance of the iPhone SE. The previous models mostly resembled the iPhone 8 Plus. On that model, there was still a physical home button present. However, this appears to be missing on the new model.

According to the latest rumors, the new iPhone SE is going to look more like the iPhone 14 than the SE 3. Instead of the home button, there is now Face ID on the top. However, you will have to do without a Dynamic Island, which is present on the regular iPhone 16.
Unlike the iPhone SE 3, the new SE should have a more modern look and be thinner than its predecessor. It should also appear, in addition to the black color, in white. On the back of the smartphone there is only one camera, as we know from the SE line.
Changes on the inside
Significant changes are also seen on the inside. According to rumors, there is an A18 chip on the inside, making the iPhone SE powerful enough to support Apple Intelligence. There is also a new Wi-Fi and 5G chip on the inside that will make your Internet connection quite a bit faster.
Given these decent changes, it seems logical that the price of the iPhone SE will go up. Especially considering it runs on the same chip as the iPhone 16. However, exactly how much it will cost remains a big question mark at this point.
