According to rumors, Apple is coming out with a new iPhone soon. It promises to be not only great, but also affordable.
With the iPhone 16 having just launched, you’d think Apple would take a break from new releases. But nothing could be further from the truth. Another new iPhone is already on the horizon: the iPhone SE 4, and it may be coming sooner than you think.
The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to be Apple’s most affordable smartphone, perfect for fans who don’t want to spend a fortune but still want to enjoy the Apple ecosystem. Here’s what we know so far about this upcoming release.
What’s (not) on Apple’s new iPhone SE 4?
It looks like production of the iPhone SE 4 will really begin soon. Korean news platform Ajunews reports that LG Innotek is likely to start making camera modules for this new SE as early as next month.
If this is true, we can expect the launch in the first half of 2025, as Apple usually starts producing parts a few months in advance. LG is said to be supplying the front camera, which should give the SE 4 series better selfie quality.

The current iPhone SE dates from 2022, so an upgrade is welcome. The SE 4 would closely resemble the iPhone 14 in design, which would be a big step forward. Think a larger 6.1-inch screen instead of the more compact 4.7-inch screen. And Face ID as a replacement for the familiar home button.
In addition, a few nifty features are likely to be added, such as a USB-C connector and perhaps even the new action button, familiar from the latest iPhones. However, some gadgets will remain reserved for the more expensive models, such as the Dynamic Island and Apple Intelligence. After all, the SE line is meant to be a budget-friendly option, so don’t expect high-end specs like the iPhone 16 Pro.
What’s the price going to be?
Apple’s cheapest smartphone, that’s quite a statement. We don’t know the exact price yet, but count on something between 400 and 500 euros. So that’s nicely in between the current SE (485 euros) and the entry price of the iPhone 14 (659 euros).
Thus, the SE line remains a perfect choice for anyone who doesn’t want to spend a fortune but still likes being in the iPhone ecosystem. With a larger screen, Face ID and a few new gadgets, the iPhone SE 4 looks to be the ideal option in 2025 for those looking for affordable quality from Apple. We’ll keep track of the rumors for you.
