Although the Motorola razr 2022 has not even been out for a whole year yet (gosh, surprise) it seems that we can expect a new model of the Android phone pretty soon. At least, if Lenovo’s boss is to be believed.
The most recent model of the Motorola razr came out in August of 2022. ‘Soon’ is also heartbreakingly vague, but releasing a new model when it hasn’t even been a year since the last one seems odd.
Already a new Motorola Razr with Android?
Lenovo CEO Yuanqing Yang talked about this expected release of the Motorola razr during the Mobile World Congress (MWC). Besides saying that the foldable Android phone should thus come out “soon,” on the other hand, he did not give any information about the release date.
Yang did give us something else to chew on. For example, he states that the reception of the Motorola razr was good and the new Android model is “much better. The new phone’s improvements would focus mainly on the hinge and the applications themselves.
Still not extremely specific, huh. At least we can expect the line you get thanks to folding the Android phone to be less visible. What the plans are beyond that is also unclear. Perhaps more optimization for Android apps in different modes?

Expensive bit though, those foldables
Phones like the Motorola razr may also cost a bit. After all, you quickly count down 900 euros for the 2022 Android device. The Lenovo CEO also admits that foldables have a pretty high price, but states that this will be less the case in the future. Once the technology improves and the market grows, the phones will also cost less.
According to research by the International Data Corporation (IDC), the amount of foldable smartphones shipped in 2022 was only 1.1 percent, and is expected to be as low as 2.8 percent by 2026.
