Nothing is likely to come out with this new smartphone March 3

Nothing appears to be unveiling a new smartphone in March. In a video, the company shares image of what appears to be the device’s camera.

Nothing is an unusual brand that makes smartphones that look completely different from competitors’ phones. For example, they have a see-through back, which allows you to see through the devices, so to speak. The brand was founded by OnePlus founder Carl Pei.

We wrote earlier this month that the smartphone maker plans to unveil a flagship this year to compete with the likes of the iPhone 16 and the Samsung Galaxy S25. Now the company itself seems to be hinting at a release of a device on March 4. It is unclear exactly what it is about, but it seems to revolve around the Nothing Phone (3).

Nothing presents new product in Barcelona

A video on X shows the camera of a smartphone, it seems. This is a bit of speculation, though, as the image is mostly very unclear. The presentation on March 4 will take place in Barcelona. The Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech fair starts there on March 3. Rumors have already circulated that Nothing plans to present this year’s new smartphone there.

In recent years, Nothing has focused on the mid-range segment with smartphones. For example, the Nothing Phone (2) cost 699 euros at launch, which is considerably cheaper than flagships from the likes of Apple and Samsung, which always cost around 1,000 euros. So if Nothing releases a more expensive smartphone this year, it would be a change in direction.

Also success with other products

The company is also known for the earbuds it released, which were a success. Unknown is whether there are also plans for new earbuds. Meanwhile, Nothing has already released several different types of earbuds, such as the standard version (Ear) and earbuds more suitable for exercising, the Ear (open).

For now, it’s mostly wait and see. Perhaps Nothing will release multiple phones in March, or present a completely different product. “We are introducing groundbreaking innovations in the user interface, taking our first steps toward an AI-powered platform,” Nothing boss Pei is reported to have said earlier in an internal email.
