If the latest rumors are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy S22 will soon appear in a new color variant. The phone has been available for six months, but that doesn’t mean the company is done with it yet. So, if you are still ailing for such a model, you may soon get an additional option.
The new color option has been leaked via Winfuture’s website. There we come across a Samsung Galaxy S22 in the color called Bora Purple. It is a soft purple color, one that we do not often encounter on a smartphone. It does make your phone stand out, something we can appreciate at the editors.
Purple Samsung Galaxy S22
Let’s face it: a lot of smartphones look alike these days. The cameras are in the same place, the screens are the same size and even the USB-C port will soon be the same everywhere. With different color options, you as a manufacturer can still offer a little variety, while you can let your style speak for itself.
By the way, it doesn’t matter which model you want to get your hands on in this color: Bora Purple is available for the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ and the S22 Ultra. Later this year, other products may also appear in this color. These include the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4.
Not a strange move
By the way, this is not a strange move by Samsung. Although we don’t often come across this color purple on smartphones, we also saw it shining on the Galaxy S21 series last year. Back then, the camera module had a gold accent, which gave the whole thing a bit more pazazz.
The wait now is for Samsung to officially announce the color and make it available. According to Winfuture, that should happen in the next few weeks, but we don’t have a hard release date yet. It also remains to be seen if this color option will come to the Netherlands or Belgium.
