The Samsung Galaxy S23 seems to be coming out earlier than expected. It is supposed to be the Korean brand’s new flagship device. What to expect from the new device? WANT editor Jeroen Kraak explains it to you!
Admittedly, 2023 still sounds far away. Still, it’s just under four months away before we’re in the new year. Of course, a new year also means new phones. One of the first top devices of the year will be the Galaxy S23. On that note, good news: it’s coming out earlier!
The Samsung Galaxy S23 is coming
That information is based on Safety Korea. This institute certifies batteries so they can be used in devices. Like the Samsung Galaxy S22+, the S23+’s battery appeared in the database in September. That means we can probably expect the device as early as February 2023.
As a result, we also see a picture of the Samsung Galaxy S23+’s battery already. Unfortunately, the photo is a bit blurry and the text on it cannot be read. Therefore, it is still difficult to say anything about the capacity.

So there already seems to be an indication of when we can expect the Samsung Galaxy S23 models. Of course, the big question is what else the phone looks like. Under the hood is in all likelihood an Exynos 2300 processor. In other markets, it will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Not only will the processor of the Samsung Galaxy S23 get a big update, so will the camera. The device is rumored to get an ISOCELL HP3, or upgrade from the HP1 sensor, which was unveiled in 2021. There is also a change on the front, by the way. The selfie camera will not have a 10-megapixel lens, but 12 megapixels.
In terms of software, it should come as no surprise that phone will run on Android 13. There is, of course, UI 5.0 over that, Samsung’s operating system, which allows you to personalize it just a bit more.
