Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra becomes extremely fast

Just a little longer and then 0we will know exactly what the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra looks like. One thing seems leaked: it will be blazing fast.

It’s January and that’s traditionally the month when Samsung presents its new flagships. This year that seems to be the case again and we will probably see the entire Samsung Galaxy S25 line, including the best one: the S25 Ultra.

Some special details already seem to have leaked about that flagship device. One of them is about the chipset inside the smartphone. The device is rumored to be the fastest Android smartphone at the moment.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra appears to get faster Snapdragon Elite chip

Although the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has not even been presented at this time, a Geekbench 6 score has been leaked, strongly hinting at the device. This test measures the speeds of smartphones in order to compare them.

To be precise, it would be the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. These seem to point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, but there is something special about this. This speed is at 4.47 GHz, while the average chip is at 4.32 Ghz.

So the version in the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra seems to be faster than the regular version. Possibly it was developed specifically for the device, something Qualcomm and Samsung previously did for the Z Fold 6. This was a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy.

Question marks over score

The rest of the test’s scores are not very impressive, as it scores less than the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro, for example, but the chip’s clock speed does seem to be faster. Still, there is a big but to this. These scores seem to be based on pre-release soft- and hardware, these will still be improved when the device is actually in stores. The scores will presumably go up then.

But there is also a but on the other side. So while Samsung seems to be working on a boosted processor, it is not yet a guarantee that it will actually be used. Nevertheless, however, it looks very much like it.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite is a big step up from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that was in the previous model. Moreover, according to rumors, it seems that not only the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, but all S25 models will get the same chip. This is notable considering that it also opted for Exynos chips last year.
