Samsung has just presented the new Galaxy S25 line. Even more than last year, the magic word is AI.
There it is: the Samsung Galaxy S25 line. Most of the attention will be focused on the S25 Ultra, the Korean brand’s new flagship.
What will mainly come to the fore during the presentation of the new smartphones is AI. Whereas last year it was already a lot about Galaxy AI, this year the brand has put even more focus on it.
This is the Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup
The Samsung Galaxy S25 comes in three versions: the S25, S25+ and the S25 Ultra. These run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which in this device has been specially modified in collaboration with Samsung to get even more out of it. In addition, all models have 12 GB of RAM.
What does differ, of course, is performance. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S25 line has a larger Vapor Chamber that should provide better cooling. That of the base version and the Plus is 15 percent larger, and that of the Ultra is even 40 percent larger.

Improvements to the camera
But there are other differences. For example, the Ultra now has a new 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. This was previously 12 MP, offering 4x more detail. In addition, the Ultra also has a 200 MP wide-angle camera and a 50 MP telephoto camera.
The software has also been improved. Thus, even better night photography should be possible with more details. Video quality has also been improved, offering 4x more dynamic range.
Lighter
All models have become thinner and lighter. Samsung even claims this is the thinnest Galaxy ever. The screen bezels are 15 percent thinner, making the screen 1 inch larger without increasing the size of the device itself. The regular Samsung Galaxy S25 is 6 grams lighter, while the S25 Ultra weighs 15 grams less.
What stands out most about the Ultra is the design. It now has rounder corners for a more holistic design.

Even more AI on your Samsung Galaxy S25
The computing power of the Snapdragon Elite and RAM is much needed as Samsung plans to bring even more AI to the Galaxy S25. Many AI processes now take place on the device itself instead of in the cloud. This is faster and more secure.
What is noticeable is that Galaxy AI on the Samsung Galaxy S25 becomes more natural. Dialogs with your smartphone should feel even better when using an AI feature. Samsung calls this the Conversational Search Experience.
One of the newest features is AI-Select. Here you select content on your screen and then perform a desired action. For example, if you see a nice movie, you can immediately turn it into a GIF.
AI as concierge for your Samsung Galaxy S25
Different apps should also work better together through AI. The Cross App Action acts as a kind of concierge on your smartphone. The AI extracts information from different apps and merges them together. Right now, this works mainly with Google and Samsung apps, but also with WhatsApp and Spotify. Later, Samsung hopes to add more apps.

An example: you search for a restaurant where you want to eat with your mother. You immediately share that information with your mother, and at the same time it is also put into your calendar. You get a timely signal when you need to leave for the restaurant.
Now Bar and Now Letter
There is also an emphasis on personalized AI. First up is the Now Bar, which is very similar to the Dynamic Island we know from the iPhone. This bar (which incidentally does not hide a camera) shows you live information, such as your soccer team’s standings or navigation information.
There is also the Now Brief. This will be a sort of daily briefing. In the morning it will tell you all the things you need to pay attention to. For example, you’ll see traffic information and know what time to leave, and you’ll get an overview of your sleep.
You can select which topics he picks up, but the AI also learns from your usage. So it knows exactly what to show less and more based on your preferences.
Also in the evening, you can get a briefing on what to expect the next day. In addition, it reflects on what all happened during the past day.
Price and release
That leaves only one question: price. All devices will be released on Feb. 7.
Samsung is using the same prices for the S25 line as for the S24. That means the regular S25 will be on sale starting at 899 euros, the S25+ at 1,149 euros, and you’ll get the S25 Ultra for at least 1,449 euros.
