Chinese brand TCL has announced new phones and tablets at the MWC in Barcelona. These include phones in the 40 series and the TCL Nxtpaper 11 and Tab 11 tablets. The tablets focus mainly on eye health.
TCL has expanded its 40 series with the 403. Earlier, the company announced the 40SE, the 408 and the 405. According to the company, the devices offer all the necessary conveniences, but at a much cheaper price than counterparts.
TCL phones and tablets at a reasonable price
Prices for the phones and tablets are considerably cheaper than better-known brands like Xiaomi. For example, you pay 99 euros for the entry-level model of TCL phones (the 403). The most luxurious model, the 40SE costs just 169 euros.
The tablets are also extremely affordable. For example, the TCL Nxtpaper 11 will cost you 249 euros. For that, you get an 11-inch 2K screen and an 8 megapixel front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens. The screen is quite bright at 500 nits, but thanks to hardware filtering it provides substantial blue light reduction. This is much better for the eyes and ensures that there is no yellow tinge on the screen. In addition, the automatic light sensor adjusts the color temperature based on environment and time.
The TCL Tab 11 also has an 11-inch 2K screen with 85% screen-to-body ratio and has Nxt-vision technology for sharper details, richer colors and blue light reduction for eye protection.
The tablet has 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a powerful 8000mAh battery that supports reverse charging. The device comes with a stylus with 4,096 levels of sensitivity for creative work. The tablet is available in Wi-Fi and LTE versions for those who want to stay connected on the go or enjoy their entertainment at home. What both versions will cost is not yet known.
Both the tablet and phones will be available in the second quarter of this year.
