Foldable Android phones are becoming a big trend in the smartphone industry. More and more companies are looking to get a piece of the craze, even though the products don’t seem to be catching on extremely well yet.
The percentage of all foldable phones shipped in 2022 stands at just 1.1%. Not crazy in itself, given the high price of the type of phones. But it does have something, that folding of your Android.

#1 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 with ndroid
This foldable phone from Samsung is pretty hefty in terms of price (hopefully you’re willing to plunk down at least 1,600 euros), but this Android offers a lot for that. This foldable phone is the closest thing to a phone that you can fold out into a small tablet. The camera isn’t nothing either, with a 50MP wide-angle lens, the foldable has the same ability to shoot pictures as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus.
Although the foldable is still relatively visible, the selfie camera is hidden in the screen. And also delicious: the Fold 4 has support for the S Pen. So despite the fact that the foldable phone can feel quite sturdy and heavy, you get an impressive device for that money.

#2 Motorola RAZR 2022
The latest version of the reborn Motorola RAZR definitely gets points for style. This line of smartphones emulates the style of the older folding phones. In doing so, compared to Samsung phones, the folding line is really barely visible.
Although the RAZR 2022 is faster and more fluid than many other Android foldables, that does seem to come at the expense of the battery. It usually lasts a day, but that’s not always a sure thing. So the lack of wireless charging is a bit of a shame. The Motorola RAZR 2022 is going to cost you around 1,100 euros, but a new model is coming this year.

#3 Oppo Find N2 Flip
Oppo’s strides into the world of foldables are going well for them. The Oppo Find N surprised many and this successor has brought with it a number of improvements. For example, the foldable Android phone’s screen is slightly wider than its predecessor.
Thereby, this foldable has a hefty battery of 4,520mAh, though unfortunately it too is not wireless charging. Still, the Oppo Find N2 Flip is a pretty powerful beast, and definitely worth looking at if you’re looking for a foldable Android phone.

#4 Huawei Mate Xs 2
Although this foldable has a hefty price tag (1,700 euros) and still lags a bit behind the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 in some aspects, it does some things quite well. For example, the screen is very sharp, the fold line is barely noticeable and the Mate Xs 2 is heart-thin.
On the other hand, there is no support for 5G, or the Google Play Store. For that price, that might be a real turnoff anyway, but if these are aspects you don’t care about, you still get a pretty good camera with it.

#5 Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 with Android
Samsung simply makes the best foldable phones right now, which is why another model from the company is in this list. The Flip 4 is the most popular Samsung foldable at the moment due to a relatively generous price (you can find it around 800 euros) and a “classic” style.
Despite again having a relatively visible foldable compared to the Motorola RAZR, the Flip 4 also offers a bright and colorful display. While the battery is not the very best, it does simply last a full day and the foldable phone has fine camera options.
