Not all Samsung Galaxy devices will get the latest version because they are too old. High time to list the models that do get supported.
Android 15 on Samsung smartphones at tablets
Android 15 is the latest operating system for Android devices. These are basically all smartphones except Apple’s models, since they run on iOS. For example, if you have an Oppo, Motorola or OnePlus, your device runs on Google’s operating software.
The biggest Android brand in the Netherlands, however, is Samsung. The company offers several Galaxy phones in different price ranges. But exactly which models are supported?

The Samsung Galaxy S and Z versions with Android 15
Let’s start with Samsung’s flagships: the S and Z series. Although Samsung now offers many years of support with newer smartphones, that is not always the case with older models.
With the Samsung Galaxy S series, all models starting with the S21 will get the update. That includes the FE models. For the Z Fold and Flip, all models starting with the Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 will receive Android 15.

From the more expensive Samsung Galaxy S and Z models, we move to the affordable A-line. Since the model numbers can sometimes be confusing, we list them conveniently for you. The following models will most likely get Android 15:

Most A models get two or three Android updates. However, Samsung seems to be changing this policy, if recent rumors are to be believed. Some future A models may also receive longer updates.

These Samsung tablets get Android 15
Android 15 is not only coming to smartphones, several Samsung tablets will also receive the latest update. Of course, the Tab S9 and the Tab S8 are among them, but the S6 Lite (2024), the Tab A9, the Tab A9+ and the Tab Active 5 will also get the new operating software.
When is Android 15 coming out?
The big question is when 15 will be available for your smartphone. First, the software will be available for Google Pixel models. Later it will be Samsung’s turn, but the exact date is still unknown. Samsung will bring the update to the more expensive models first and later to the rest of the devices.
