Apple announced the new iPhone 16 Plus at its Glowtime event. What exactly will the smartphone cost you in the Netherlands?
Last Monday evening, Apple announced the new iPhone 16 Plus. Of course, we will also get the new smartphone in our country, but how much money will you have to put down for it?
The iPhone 16 Plus, like its predecessor, comes in different versions. What do you spend if you go for the minimum and how much do you have to put down if you want to get the most out of it?
This is how much the iPhone 16 Plus will cost you in the Netherlands
This Friday (Sept. 13), the new iPhone 16 Plus goes on sale at 2 p.m. ET. You won’t get the phone at that time, as Apple won’t release it until September 20.
It will do so, as with the regular model, in this case in five different color options and with three different configurations. These all depend on the amount of storage capacity you need.
Here’s a breakdown of the costs:

It is also possible to give the phone AppleCare+ coverage. This service gives you unlimited Apple-certified repairs, offers a fast replacement service and gives you priority when contacting an Apple expert.
That option will cost you an additional $199.
What’s new in the iPhone 16 Plus
The iPhone 16 Plus has received a nice facelift. Among other things, Apple has given the smartphone an updated camera system, new buttons and a larger battery. The camera system is vertical this time, there is both an action button and a camera control button on the smartphone and the battery lasts longer than the previous model.
The 6.7-inch display has a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits to make it easier to read outdoors, but with a minimum brightness of 1 nit, it’s the perfect option for late-night viewing. The A18 chip gives the iPhone 16 Plus a nice boost in performance. For example, the 16-core Neural engine is twice as powerful, the 6-core CPU makes the phone 30 percent faster and the 5-core GPU makes it 40 percent faster.
Of course, the iPhone 16 Plus leans hugely on Apple Intelligence, but we won’t get to see any of that in Europe for now.
