Xiaomi today presented the eye-catching 15 Ultra. It is a smartphone that actually looks more like a still camera.
Xiaomi has been working with Germany’s Leica, which makes the cameras on its flagships, for several years. Still, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has something really special. It now looks more like a traditional Leica than a smartphone.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is a smartphone that focuses primarily on photography. Hence, the company also took care of its unusual appearance. You can get it in black, white and silver chrome. In addition, it combines fiberglass with leather to provide a good grip.
On the inside is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which ensures that the smartphone is lightning fast. The special IceLoop system should keep the Xiaomi 15 Ultra from getting too hot. This way, the performance will be even better.

Furthermore, the smartphone features a 5410 mAh battery. This would allow you to actively use it for over 14 hours in practice. You can recharge it with 90W wired and 80W wireless, bringing it back to 100 percent in no time.
You don’t have to worry about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s screen either. It has a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED screen. The pixel density is 522 ppi, so you should see every detail on the screen. With 3200 nits of brightness, it succeeds even on a very sunny day.
Plus, the screen has a 1Hz Always-on display, so that feature won’t drain your battery right away. Gorilla Glass 7i keeps the screen from breaking easily, while on the front the Shield Glass 2.0 should have 16 times better drop resistance.
The camera as an absolute attention grabber
But for now, let’s talk mainly about the camera of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The main camera is a 23mm Leica camera with the 1-inch Sony LYT sensor underneath. With focal lengths of 23mm, 28mm and 35mm, you can let your creativity run wild. There is also another 13-channel spectral sensor that can even better define colors.

For portrait and street photography, there is a 70mm floating lens on the device. It is also suitable for macro photography, allowing you to clearly capture details at 10 cm.
What is especially notable is that Xiaomi’s 15 Ultra telephoto lens has 200 MP. So you can even take pictures with a focal length of up to 200 mm.
In addition to those three cameras, there is also room for a 14mm ultra-wide-angle camera. This allows you to capture wider perspectives.
These cameras are also suitable for filming, of course. It is possible to capture images in 4K 120 fps or Dolby Vision 4K 60 fps. The Optical Image Stabilization and Electronic Image Stabilization ensure that your images do not shake too much.
