As an Android fan, you have several moments a year when you can enthusiastically look at what the market has to offer. A few moments a year when you can get acquainted with your next smartphone. A few moments a year when you already know everything about a smartphone, before the actual announcement has taken place.
That was previously true of the OnePlus 10 Pro, it was true of the Samsung Galaxy S22, and it is apparently true of Motorola’s new flagship. Courtesy of WinFuture, we pretty much know what the device is going to have to offer us.
Motorola’s imposing smartphone is on the street
Motorola is putting out big guns later this year. The company, which is owned by Lenovo, is likely to release a smartphone in July, which at the time of writing is called the Frontier 22. Whether that will be the actual name of the device is not yet known. It does not matter, because almost everything else is already known.
The people at WinFuture, who have quite a reputation in this area, have managed to get their hands on both renders and a specification list of the new flagship. So now we can already get to know the more impressive brother of the Edge X30, which has been quite successful in China.

What to expect from the Android smartphone?
Very interesting all, but of course you just want to know what to expect. As it stands, the following things are known about Motorola’s Android smartphone:
6.67-inch OLED display | FHD+ | 144Hz | 20:9
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 “Plus”
200-megapixel main camera
50-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera
12-megapixel telephoto lens
60-megapixel selfie camera
125W fast charging
Exactly how much the smartphone will cost is not known at this time. Too bad, because that will initially determine what kind of success the flagship can become. Compared to other devices from Motorola, the company is really going all-in this time.
Despite WinFuture being a reliable source in this area, it is of course always advisable to take these kinds of reports with a grain of salt.
