If the latest rumors are to be believed, the iPhone 14 Pro will have rounder corners due to the larger rear camera module. A graphic renderer who creates images based on rumors, Ian Zelbo, shows what the smartphone might look like then. Zelbo more often makes renders based on information that is on the street.
Zelbo makes use of various sources. Think of leaked schematics, but also CAD renders and dimensions. In addition, we regularly come across prints of future cases from manufacturers who want to be the first to have them. In this way Zelbo shapes the design of, in this case, the iPhone 14 Pro in its own way.

Based on all that information, Zelbo gives the iPhone 14 Pro rounder corners. You can see the difference from the iPhone 13 Pro well in the images in this article. The render artist thinks that the difference between the iPhone 13 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max is much smaller. The changes in the design are possibly due to the camera module.

Indeed, the upcoming device is expected to have a larger camera module, which also features rounder corners. That extra space is needed for the 48 megapixel camera and sensor that is 57 percent larger, reportedly. This time, the module should follow the curves of the smartphone’s corners.
How did Apple do it before?
Apple didn’t do that when it made the iPhone 13 Pro. The camera module on that smartphone does not follow the outline of the phone’s design, whereas it did on the iPhone 12 Pro. So if this rumor is true, Apple seems to be going back to an older design philosophy.
Is this a big deal? Now that’s the question. Apple is a company that pays attention to details. And by extension, you could argue that consumers of Apple products also pay attention to details. But it wouldn’t be surprising if many an iPhone 13 Pro owner didn’t notice the difference.
