Need a new smartphone? These 5 devices are the best in March 2022!

Those looking to buy a smartphone, and are still getting their bearings on the market, can have a pretty tough time. There are countless options available and each device has its own pros and cons. So which models are really worth it?

We’ll try to give you that answer in this article. They are certainly not the cheapest models available, but they are the devices that you are without a doubt comfortable with. These smartphones are simply some of the best the market has to offer, so chances are you’re going to succeed. Provided this is something you’re looking for, of course.

Need a smartphone? The 5 best options for March 2022!

It is always difficult to cater to everyone with such lists. This is simply due to the fact that in some cases it is a matter of taste and there is no arguing about that. In addition, every consumer is looking for something different, which makes the story even trickier. Therefore, the following five devices are not in order and we recommend them all.

#1 Samsung Galaxy S22 (Ultra)

With the Samsung Galaxy S22, 2022 has its first true flagship series up its sleeve. In January we were briefly introduced to the OnePlus 10 Pro, but first of all that device was not part of a series and also did not appear in our country. So the honor again goes to our South Korean friends in 2022. That honor is also completely justified, because the three smartphones that belong to it are again gems.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ cannot be called major upgrades compared to last year. In fact, the battery, which was really a problem last year, has become even smaller. Yet the smartphone manages to convince us in many other areas. Think for example of the camera system, the One UI 4.0 (Android 12) software and the excellent display. You can read more about it in our review.

The absolute gem of the series is of course the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. In all honesty, we have yet to test the smartphone, so don’t really know how the flagship performs in practice. Given our experience with the other devices in this list and the Galaxy S22+, I must honestly admit that there is no doubt about it. At this point, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is probably the best choice you can make.

#2 iPhone 13 (Pro)

The iPhone 13 series can be called a complete, and most importantly accessible, lineup. That said: the price isn’t very low, but the series really does have a bit of everything to offer consumers. If you like to go all-in then you will no doubt be satisfied with the iPhone 13 Pro Max. If you prefer a minimalist approach and your focus is on compactness, then the mini is the phone for you. I can’t deny that all four devices in the series perform well, but there is one that steals the show: the iPhone 13 Pro.

The gap between the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro is not very big, but still the Pro model is the flagship. Apple fans can finally enjoy a higher refresh rate of 120Hz and the notch has shrunk. It’s not a huge difference, but with 20% more screen space, there’s little to complain about. The battery allows you to use the smartphone for a day and a half, the device is powerful enough to do anything you want with it and the camera system is an absolute beast.

The iPhone 13 Pro is a great smartphone that you have to pay a lot of money for. Although this is not a model that you will only use for two years. Whoever picks up the iPhone 13 Pro is baked for the next few years, which turns this into a fantastic deal. Even though it is and remains an incredible amount of money for a phone.

#3 Oppo Find X5 Pro

Those who are not afraid to invest some money in a good smartphone will probably end up with the Oppo Find X5 Pro. Something that you might not immediately expect, but makes perfect sense. The smartphone is completely focused on a premium experience. You’ll find that not only in the design, but also in the software and camera system. Oppo has gone all-in with the Find X5 Pro and you can reap the benefits.

In my opinion, there are three main points: the battery, the display and the design. Space Age, is how Oppo calls that last component itself. The back of the Find X5 Pro is made of one piece of glass which, besides being quite heavy, is really nice to have in your hand. The device is so damn nice to hold that I want to tell everyone about it. The 5000mAh battery is long lasting and charges at 85W. The 6.7-inch QHD+ screen is so good that you can’t take your eyes off it. In short: the experience is extremely good.

There are three main issues surrounding the Find X5 Pro: the battery, the display and the design. Space Age, is how Oppo calls that last part itself. By using a single piece of glass, the smartphone looks, in my opinion, incredibly sleek. The beauty of this design is that Oppo, despite weighing 218 grams, manages to make the flagship feel especially nice in the hand. With SuperVOOC, the company lets out the 5000mAh battery with a power of 85W and the 6.7-inch QHD+ display is a joy to look at.

The price for the Oppo Find X5 Pro is really high, but take it from me that this smartphone will not let you down. So those who want to try something different can make this decision without any doubts, regrets and fears.

#4 OnePlus 9 Pro

The OnePlus 10 Pro is finally coming to the Netherlands in March 2022. Still, it’s not here yet and consumers have to be patient for a very short time. In the meantime, feel free to read my preview about the flagship. You can do so via this link.

Considering a next model is not yet available, I can’t help but recommend the current flagship. The OnePlus 9 Pro remains a wonderful option for those looking for a good smartphone. Yes, OnePlus is miles away from its original mission with this model, but don’t let that spoil the fun. Look at it objectively, compare the OnePlus 9 Pro to the other devices in the list and see that the company just did a good job.

The OnePlus 9 Pro has a premium feel, an excellent display, a long-lasting battery and a camera system that can finally compete. You can read my full review of the device here, but the conclusion is clear. One year later, the OnePlus 9 Pro is still one of the best options on the market, especially considering its price.

#5 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3

Okay, I can understand when people question this choice. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is not an accessible smartphone and it does do certain things worse than the devices listed above. However, we cannot really deny that this type of smartphone is the future. In my opinion, it is quite important to include such devices in this kind of list.

As far as that goes, the choice is pretty easy: the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the best that foldable has to offer you. Samsung’s smartphone has of course had time to evolve. The result is a solid smartphone with excellent screens, impressive functionalities and a good camera system.

The smartphone is completely different in use and with a short summary I do it short. Therefore, read the entire review via this link.
