Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra offers us less for as much money

It’s still a very short wait, but the Samsung Galaxy S22 is coming. The new flagship series will be announced in February and then it will come to our country. But how much will you have to pay to get your hands on one?

Of course, official word on this has not yet come out, but fortunately the Internet has many reliable sources that can give the information early. For example, we already knew what the American prices of the Samsung Galaxy S22 would be, but now we also know how much we will have to pay for it.

Samsung Galaxy S22: this is how much the smartphones will cost

The Samsung Galaxy S22 is coming to you next month. The smartphone series will again consist of three different devices this year, with the Ultra model being the most notable. Last week, Samsung announced a little more about the new flagship model.

For example, we know that the device is damned similar to the Galaxy Note, as it will potentially replace the smartphone. Something that previous rumors also managed to tell us. So with that in mind, it’s very interesting exactly how much this will cost us as consumers.

On Twitter Roland Quandt, in this area an extremely reliable source, announces the prices for Europe. As you can see below, the standard model will cost you €849, the plus model €1049 and the top model €1249. Of course, these are the starting prices.

Whoever said S22 series was to be cheaper, didn’t think of Covid, parts shortages and inflation.

Actual official EURO prices:
S22 8/128GB = 849
S22 8/256GB = 899
S22+ 8/128GB = 1049
S22+ 8/256GB = 1099
S22 Ultra 8/128GB = 1249
S22 Ultra 12/256GB = 1349
S22 Ultra 12/512GB = 1449 pic.twitter.com/QRnfrhkzTz

As much money, less working memory

There are a couple of issues that Samsung fans who responded to the above tweet are running into. First, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a similar starting price to its predecessor. The only difference is that the 2022 model features less working memory. The S22 Ultra is equipped with 8GB of working memory, where its predecessor had 12GB. So you basically get less for the same money.

The second problem is that upgrading your storage capacity has become more expensive. Where this used to cost consumers about €50, they now have to pay double that.

What does the Samsung Galaxy S22 have to offer?

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be a bit more expensive, but you will get something in return. The top device is equipped with the S-Pen, among other things. The familiar stylus from the Galaxy Note was also available last year, but could not be stored in the phone itself. This will change in 2022.

Besides that fact, a lot of things are already known around the entire Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup. Want to know more? Then be sure to check out this page!
