Starting today, entering or finding PINs and passwords just got a little easier. The app 1Password 8 is now available on the Apple Watch.
1Password 8 is without a doubt one of the most popular password managers from the Apple App Store.
1Password 8 now available for Apple Watch
The gain of 1 Password 8 on the Apple Watch is entirely in convenience. And we’re not just saying that because you can now use the application without taking your iPhone out of your pocket. It also has to do with a number of new additions.
Those whose work requires them to enter a lot of complicated passwords every day will be pleased with the new shortcut. This can be placed on the watch face of your Apple Watch, allowing the password to see the light of day at the touch of a button.
It is also possible for 1Password 8 on the Apple Watch to operate completely offline. Within the application on the iPhone, you have to synchronize the passwords with the Apple Watch so that you can use it even without an active Internet connection. Of course, when adding a new password, you have to update the collection of passwords again.
In the process, a larger font has been used, making long and complicated passwords easier to read.
The 1Password 8 website itself has more on the update.
But, I can’t find it?
Anyone searching in the App Store for Apple Watch will not find 1Password 8, by the way. To put the application on your smartwatch, you will first have to install it on your iPhone. Then the password manager will be automatically installed on your smartwatch.
If that doesn’t happen, you can of course give the installation a hand. To do so, go to the Watch app on your iPhone and scroll down under My Watch. Once you get to the Available apps section look for 1Password 8 and hit Install.
