If keeping track of your passwords on your iPhone and elsewhere is driving you nuts, 1Password is an absolute must-have. As such, it is one of the most popular password apps today. And it keeps improving.
The number of passwords is really increasing absurdly fast. Therefore, it is also advisable to get a password manager. On iPhone, 1Password comes highly recommended in this regard. Last year, the app also received a major update. For example, it got a new home screen and more options to organize the app at will. But developer AgileBits has not been idle: this week, the company came out with even more handy updates.
1Password on iPhone is now even better
One of the biggest changes, of course, was the home screen. Here it became possible to pin different fields for different password sites.
Thanks to a new update, it is now possible for users to create other fields within those fields. “In the beginning you might encounter some limitations, but we are working hard to expand the freedom and flexibility each time,” the company states in a blog post.

Search returns
Another feature AgileBits is working on is the ability to search within a list of items on your iPhone. That was previously possible, but that option disappeared with the update to 1Password 8. By popular demand, the company has promised to bring this feature back soon.
It also claims that the use of Face ID has gotten a lot better. A forthcoming update will even allow users to use an “old-fashioned” PIN. Face ID and Touch ID will, of course, remain usable on iPhone and iPad.
Although the updates were announced by AgileBits, it is not known exactly when it will be rolled out. 1Password can be found in the App Store for iOS and watchOS, and you can try the password manager for free for two weeks. After that, the app costs $2.65 per month.
