Apple, including with the AirPods Pro 2, is a strong player in the wireless earbuds market. Many a manufacturer is attempting to knock Apple off its throne, and some are more successful at it than others. The audio experience can sometimes be better, but every now and then other companies also come up with exclusive features.
And the exclusive feature Anker’s Soundcore Liberty 4 earbuds boast is a built-in heart rate monitor. So that puts the Chinese company ahead of all kinds of big players, such as Apple, Google, Samsung and Sony. And that’s even though, according to rumor makers, that feature was thus coming to the AirPods Pro 2.

The sensor obviously allows you to chart your heart rate. You can do this when you are resting or working, or when you are enjoying the outdoors or at the gym. You can also take a short measurement in between, if you want. This time not from your wrist or chest, but through your auditory canals.
There is also more good news: the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 actually has support for Spatial Audio. A truly new feature this is no longer for earbuds. But then again, it’s still good to see third-parties embracing audio technology. It’s still cool to listen to.

Furthermore, the Anker Soundcore Liberty Pro 4 earplugs offer features that we simply expect from a set of premium earplugs. For example, there is HearID, which lets you tune the sound to your hearing. So this gives you access to a personalized listening experience.
There’s also active noise cancellation, so you don’t have to be disturbed by all kinds of ambient noise either. The earbuds themselves last about nine hours and when you charge them in between, another 28 hours are added. In the U.S., the earbuds cost $150; it is not yet clear if they will come to Europe.
