Apple Intelligence can I many countries summaries of your incoming notifications. Apple, after criticism, is now going to state that those are made with artificial intelligence.
In the Netherlands, we do not yet have most Apple Intelligence features. That is expected to change this year. One of the features we miss is one that automatically creates summaries for you based on your incoming notifications. Very handy, but Apple has received quite a bit of criticism because of it.
For example, Apple Intelligence went wrong on several occasions. For example, one summary, which included the BBC logo, stated that Luigi Mangione, accused of killing the chief executive of UnitedHealthcare in the U.S., had killed himself. However, that was not the case. Apple is now going to indicate that summaries were made with AI.
Apple comes out with update
The tech giant is rolling out an update for that in the coming weeks, writes The Guardian. This will not change the way summaries are made. That is why it is possible that incorrect summaries will appear after the update. At least you will know they are made with AI.
The system also went awry around tennis player Rafael Nadal. In fact, Apple users were notified that he had come out of the closet, which he had not. It also showed that Luke Littler had won the PDC World Darts Championship. However, that happened before the match had begun at all.

Journalists association is not happy
“These AI summaries from Apple do not reflect – and in some cases completely contradict – the original BBC content,” the BBC previously reported. “It is critical that Apple address these issues urgently, as the accuracy of our news is essential to maintaining trust.”
“Apple Intelligence features are in the beta phase and we are constantly making improvements using user feedback,” the tech company responded to the British broadcaster. The National Union of Journalists (NUJ) believes Apple’s upcoming update is not enough and is calling on the company to remove the feature altogether.
