Apple today presented a new Mac Studio and MacBook Air. In addition, it also unveiled the new M3 Ultra chip.
But what exactly can you expect from the new products? We take you through.
This is Apple’s new Mac Studio
The new Mac Studio has either a version with the M4 Max chip or the new M3 Ultra chip. The Studio has 4 Thunderbolt 5 connections in the M4 Max version and 6 in the M3 Ultra version, so you can easily connect your devices. It also has a more efficient Neural Engine and up to 512 GB of central memory.
Of course, you can upgrade the Mac Studio considerably to your liking. The cheapest version with the M4 Max chip will cost you $2,529, while the most expensive version with the M3 Ultra chip can cost you $17,674.

The M3 Ultra chip is Apple’s latest processor. According to its maker, it is twice as fast as the M4 Max, making it the most powerful Mac ever. The most powerful M3 Ultra has a 32-core CPU and 80-core GPU, making it incredibly powerful in terms of computing power.
A new MacBook Air
If you’ve been following Apple news, you knew a new MacBook Air was coming. This one has now also been presented and runs on the M4 chip, which is twice as fast as the M1 chip.
The new MacBook Air has some differences from its predecessor. For example, the entry-level model has 2 additional CPU and GPU cores and an improved camera. This is now 12 MP instead of 4 MP. As a result, it is now also possible to use Central Stage on the Air, so you are always in the center of the picture.
There aren’t many other differences, other than a new color. Apple is adding sky blue to the lineup. That does mean that the color space gray has been dropped. In addition, the Air is also available in starlight, silver and midnight.

One notable detail is that the new M4 MacBook Air will be cheaper than its predecessor, 100 euros to be exact. For example, you will now pay 1,199 euros for the entry-level 13-inch model. The entry-level 15-inch version will cost $1,499. You can pre-order it now, and it will ship on March 12.
