When the Nintendo Wii was released on November 19, 2006, no one could have imagined that the gaming console would be so popular. In its lifetime, the device flew over the counter a whopping 101 million times. That it would one day serve as the perfect enclosure for the M1 Mac mini, however, we didn’t see that coming.
However, it is exactly what well-known YouTube Content Creator Luke Miani has done. The result: a mighty fine little device with impressive capabilities.
Nintendo Wii as an enclosure for your M1 Mac mini
Luke Miani is an American Content Creator who is mostly active on YouTube. He focuses mainly on computers and everything that comes with them in his videos.
His most recent video focuses on the M1 Mac mini. Not just any one, but one hidden inside the casing of a Nintendo Wii. The console that Nintendo released on Nov. 19, 2006, and became incredibly popular.
The reason behind the project is the, according to Miani, “boring design of the M1 Mac mini. Although one of the best deals in computing, the small computer has carried the same design for nearly a decade. Time to address that “problem” by revamping the console, which the YouTuber says looks quite a bit like the design discussed. Literally.
When did the M1 Mac mini appear?
On November 17, 2020, Apple released the M1 Mac mini. It was the first version to feature Apple Silicon and is currently on sale from $799.
