This week, Bose introduces a brand new, affordable and compact soundbar: the Smart Soundbar 600. This model also features AirPlay 2 support, so you can use it in conjunction with Apple products. There is also support for Dolby Atmos, among other things, and you can control it in various ways within your own network.
Despite its compact size, the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 should still be able to present an “immersive audio experience.” With this, the audio manufacturer seems to want to compete with another compact soundbar that recently came on the market. Then we are talking about the Sonos Ray.

The wide speaker for under the television supports Dolby Atmos and TrueSpace technology developed by Bose. This allows the soundbar to project sound to specific spots in the room, making it seem like it’s coming from everywhere. These are promises we always have to hear first to believe.

Without making the enclosure taller, the five transducers required to deliver audio fit inside it. Thus, the chosen size need not affect the audio experience. At 5.61 cm high, 10.39 cm deep and just over 69 cm long, the soundbar fits under and near many a television.
AirPlay, wifi and bluetooth
In addition to AirPlay 2, the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 also offers support for wifi and bluetooth. Furthermore, you can send content to it via Google Chromecast. And you can also control the soundbar with your voice, for example via Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa (in English only, then).
The Smart Soundbar 600 is compatible with all the brand’s other smart speakers, soundbars, bass modules and rear speakers, for a multi-room audio system.
