One of the most popular free shooters (by far) is and always has been Call of Duty: Warzone. And soon Apple users will also be able to play the game on iOS with an iPhone or iPad. Is this a surprise? Not really because CoD was already teased during a gaming event. So let’s go!
The official page for Call Of Duty: Warzone is now online, making history. Other big, free shooters like PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) and Fortnite have already made the move to iOS, but the King of Shooter games is now following suit. And it costs you nope.
No huge iPhone specs for Call of Duty: Warzone?
The game is now available for pre-order on Apple’s App Store. So starting May 15, you can play this awesome shooter on iOS and Warzone will cost you nothing. For the sake of convenience, we assume that controllers from Xbox, PlayStation and third-party developers can be used.
Activision is focusing entirely on the mobile aspect of the game without compromising on the gameplay or the social aspect of the game, erhm… Activision said. “The game is powered by the new Call of Duty 2.0 technology and allows players of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile to share features such as friends and chat channels, XP, weapon inventories, equipment and even the Battle Pass.”

It’s not entirely clear what you need for CoD: Warzone to play it. However, it’s not hard to figure out that your iPhone or iPad’s specs need to be up to date. Activision states that your iPhone must run on iOS 15.0 or later, and for the iPad, this is iPadOS 15.0 or later. Your device must have at least the A12 chip.
Customizing yourself through iOS
The App Store page further states that Call of Duty: Warzone for iOS is “fully ‘portable’ and customizable.” For example, players have dozens of options to reset the layout of the controls. So you can also just use a Bluetooth NES controller (and if you can’t, we’ll take care of it ourselves). In addition, according to the publisher, the game has “first-class graphics.”
Players can now pre-order Call of Duty: Warzone for the iPhone and iPad via the App Store. Once the game is available, it will automatically download to your device.
Could you possibly play CoD: Warzone on your Mac or Apple TV? The Cupertino-based company hasn’t released any details on that yet. But that’s only a matter of time right?
