Cowboy takes a different approach with his electric bikes

Many electric bike builders have gone out of business recently. Cowboy does not want the same thing to happen to them, so they are now introducing a striking change.

Cowboy is one of the most popular electric bike builders in the Netherlands. Because of that popularity, customers have to wait a long time for their bikes, and that costs sales. Many competitors went out of business because they could not meet the demand.

Belgian company Cowboy has now found a solution to this and is moving the assembly of its electric bikes to France. This should reduce the delivery time.

Cowboy implements measures

Last year, it could sometimes take months to get your e-bike from Cowboy. Now it’s less, but still: waiting two months is quite a time. Ideally, you want to tour on your e-bike right away.

This is not only annoying for the people waiting for their electric bikes, but also for Cowboy itself. Thus, it could turn less sales. Something that has already cost other companies their heads, but the manufacturer seems to have intervened in time. Cowboy always kept inventories small, while other companies kept inventories large to avoid running short.

Cowboy is partnering with Re-Cycles for this purpose. No, this is not a waste company, but a renowned assembly company for electric bikes. It has previously worked this way for Renault.

Once everything is set up soon, you won’t have to wait months for your electric bike. Cowboy thinks the e-bikes can be delivered within days of ordering. From two months to a few days is considerable progress.

The brand’s electric bikes

Cowboy has three different models: Classic, Cruiser and Cross. Of the latter two, there is also an ST version with just a bit more features. They are not the cheapest on the market, but they are very solid, modern e-bikes.

The Cross is the latest addition to the lineup. This one is specifically intended as an adventurous electric bike that you can also use to get out into nature. For example, it has 60 mm thick tires, which give you good grip even on sand, and a range of 60 to 120 kilometers.
