Starting today, Final Cut Camera is available for iPhone and iPad. The app takes your videos to the next level and is absolutely free.
The iPhone already has impressive cameras, but Apple wants you as a user to get more out of it. Back in May, the American company announced its Final Cut Camera app, and now it’s free to download for your iPhone and iPad.
Final Cut Camera gives users more control over their iPhone or iPad’s camera. Adjusting ISO, exposure and shutter speed provides a fairly easy way to fine-tune your images.
Final Cut Camera: Apple’s new iPhone app
The Final Cut Camera app may be meant for professionals, but anyone can pretty easily take a whack at it. For example, it alone allows for a lot smoother zooming in your videos and pimping images (do people still say that?).
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max come out best in the app because of Apple ProRes support, but the party is for everyone. For example, adjust your video’s shutter speed to mimic more natural movement or use the focus settings to create what’s called a Focus pull.

In addition to playing with the settings, it is also possible to film with multiple cameras simultaneously. Select another iPhone or multiple iPads to film a video from multiple angles, which is ideal for a podcast, for example.
