High tech gadget for bicycle is a hit thanks to OnlyFans

When you think of OnlyFans, you probably don’t immediately think of bike handlebars. Yet the two have everything to do with each other.

Soon a high-tech handlebar should appear for your bike: the Flitedeck. This gadget for the bike should take over tasks you currently have a bike computer to do.

With such a project you would expect a Kickstarter campaign or a big company investing in it, but with this innovation a special way of financing takes place: raising money via OnlyFans and Instagram. How exactly does that work?

From OnlyFans to bikes

Perhaps you’ve already seen it pass by, but a special handlebar is coming out for bikes. It is one that is especially interesting for athletes. This handlebar combines the regular bike with all kinds of technical gadgets, something you certainly won’t come across on a platform like OnlyFans. Still, it is just a little bit different.

Normally an invention like this comes from the mind of a big company, or you see it first on a platform like Kickstarter. With this gadget that story is slightly different, because creator and motorsports engineer Sabrina Fischer also has a special side business. She is active on OnlyFans and there she has built up quite a fan base.

She is said to be among the top 0.2% content creators on OnlyFans, earning more than $100,000 per month. However, she also has quite a following on Instagram. There she ticks the 213,000 followers mark, which, given the content, will include many cyclists. With that, she gathered an ideal seed capital for the development of the handlebars and is in close contact with the target audience.

But Fischer also previously worked in the automotive industry as an engineer. Her resume includes BMW and Porsche, among others. She brings that knowledge to cycling.

This is the Flitedeck

Now let’s talk about the handlebars instead of OnlyFans, because that one is just as special. The bike gadget is made of carbon fiber to be less heavy. Nevertheless, it is still quite heavy at 800 grams, but then again, normally you would have a Garmin or Wahoo on it.

And actually that’s what this handlebar does as well: it replaces the bike computer for cyclists. The screen on the handlebar is high-resolution and has GPS connectivity and Bluetooth support. In addition, it can connect to all sorts of other sensors on the bike. There are even plans for a rear-facing camera, but those are on hold for now.

However, the device is considerably more expensive than a normal Garmin or Wahoo. For example, the cheapest option will cost you 1,599 euros. There is also a special Fan Edition, or should we call it OnlyFans Edition? Here you get a 60-minute 1-on-1 Zoom session with Sabrina, in which you can ask her your questions. In addition, your wheel will be autographed. So you will have something special on your bike, because only 30 of them will be made.

The question is whether this can be as successful as her OnlyFans. Her bike gadget is just a bit more expensive than a Garmin.
