How Bose already wants you to forget about the AirPods Pro 2

Apple isn’t the only manufacturer bringing a new set of earbuds into the world with the AirPods Pro 2. Audio manufacturer Bose is also making a big splash with the unveiling of the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II. These earbuds are good value; what exactly can you expect from them? We explain.

It seems that Bose is listening carefully to feedback from the community. The first version of the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds was quite large for a set of earbuds and did not exude premium product vibes at all. While the new version is still quite large, the design has been given a major overhaul.

AirPods Pro 2 killer from Bose?

They are now much less noticeable and look much sleeker, thanks to the nice curves. And despite the fact that the earbuds are now more compact, they still offer the same battery life of six hours. That battery life, by the way, is also found on Apple’s new AirPods Pro 2, which the company presented on Wednesday.

Bose claims that the active noise cancelling (anc) on this model is greatly improved and is better than any other set of earbuds. The anc is said to be even better than on headphones; that’s something we would have to test. The manufacturer also has several arguments for this claim, so there may be some truth in it.

Active noise cancellation to the max

The Bose earplugs actually measure the geometry of the inside of your ears when you put them in, according to the manufacturer. As a result, the anc profile is calibrated to everyone based on the shape of the inside of your sound receptors. In addition, Bose offers all kinds of caps to fit in your ear, so the QuietComfort Earbuds II should always stay in place.

Furthermore, this potential AirPods Pro 2 killer offers a standard package. The earbuds have an IPX4 certification, touch controls (including for volume) and an adjustable equalizer. The charging case has a USB-C port, and can fully charge the earbuds up to three times.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II will be available from September 29 for 299.95 euros in the color Triple Black, and can be reserved from September 8 via Bose.co.uk. A Soapstone-colored variant will also be available later this year.
