When you think of dire luxury electric cars, you don’t think of Huawei. Yet the brand is going to compete with Maybach and Rolls-Royce.
When you think of Huawei, you think of smartwatches and phones, but not immediately of an electric car. Still, the company is working on several vehicles, and now it is working on a very luxurious model: the Maextro S800.
This electric car really targets the absolute luxury segment. It wants to compete with big brands such as Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley. Therefore, this car should be a real eye-catcher.
This electric car from Huawei is a real eye-catcher
You can literally call the Huawei a shining car. It has a kind of crystal-like shine in the upholstery, door handles, lights and interior. It also gives off projections on the ground. It is an electric car that really stands out.
This electric car from Huawei is specially customized. Buyers can choose from several powertrains that offer between 480 and 852 hp. The electric cars have a maximum charging power of 390 kW, allowing you to charge the 66 kWh battery from 10 to 80 percent in 10.5 minutes.

Quite a few sensors
There are also 32 ADAS sensors on the Maextro that analyze everything on the road. These adjust all kinds of settings, such as torque distribution, suspension and steering. This should give a driving experience that the company says is second to none.
Those sensors are also good when the weather is bad. Huawei’s electric car can increase detection distance by 60 percent in fog and rain, and delay is reduced by 40 percent as a result. If you do get into an accident, the electric car will contact emergency services.
That leaves one important question: what is the price? It seems a bit cheaper than a Rolls-Royce, as it should cost between 1 and 1.5 million yuan. That translates to a price between 131,000 and 197,000 euros. Not a price you expect at Huawei.
