The fourth version of the iPhone SE will soon hit the market. With more modern features, it may also be of interest to switching Android users.
The cheaper iPhone is known for good specs at a more accessible price. The phone runs on the latest operating system and even has a modern chip. There was talk for months that the new SE model would resemble the iPhone 14, the last phone with the old-fashioned notch, but that now seems to be different.
In fact, according to new rumors, the new device is going to resemble the newer iPhone 15. That would mean that Apple’s budget smartphone will abandon the old notch and opt for the modern Dynamic Island.
iPhone SE rumors
The latest rumors about the device have been leaked by the usually reliable Evan Blas. He shared an image on X showing that the device features a Dynamic Island. This could be positive for sales of the iPhone SE, although of course the rumors are not yet completely certain.
The iPhone will cost around $500, which makes it very interesting for people considering a device from Apple. The newer specs, competitive price and future-proofing ensure that the device will have an excellent position in the market. The Dynamic Island may be decisive for Android users (who are generally only used to a small round “punch-hole” and do not want to go back to a large notch).

When can we expect the SE?
It is likely that Apple will announce the iPhone SE 4 in March 2025. This will then happen during a special media event where the iPad Air M3 and iPad 11 will also be announced. More about the devices will be revealed over time, as usual.
The iPhone SE 4 will be the successor to the iPhone SE 3 that came out in 2022. This smartphone has recently become unavailable because Apple, like all other tech companies, is no longer allowed to sell smartphones with a charging port that uses technology other than USB C.
